Mayo Clinic contributes more than $1 million to community initiatives in the second quarter of 2025

In the second quarter of 2025, Mayo Clinic awarded grants to a wide range of local non-profit organizations and community initiatives. These investments are designed to advance impactful work in alignment with community health need priority areas. In addition, these investments support mental health, fostering a sense of belonging, youth enrichment, accessibility, arts and culture, human services, expanded access to dental and healthcare services, and addressing housing insecurity, strengthening the overall well-being and resilience of the communities we serve.

Highlights include: 

Celebration of a City – to help sponsor the 2025 RochesterFest. 

Rochester Chamber of Commerce Leadership Greater Rochester – To encourage and empower healthy behaviors among Olmsted County residents through the Elevate Wellness program and Youth Connections Sports Trailer, which provides access to sports equipment and recreational programs to youth in underserved neighborhoods.  

Minnesota Council for Veterans – to support affordable housing resources for veterans. 

The Reading Center – for literacy programs that advance reading skills for kids and adults. 

Association for Chicanos, Hispanics, and Latin Americans (ACHLA) - to help supply bicycles and safe cycling education to area youth and families. 

The Bicycle Alliance of Minnesota – to strengthen local bicycling resources and safety, and the accessibility of trail systems in Rochester and nearby rural communities. 

Sports Mentorship Academy – to help sponsor Rochester’s Back to School Block Party to celebrate school readiness and provide supplies to youth in financial need.  

Black Data Processing Associates, Inc. - to support science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) enrichment for area youth.  

Channel One Regional Food Bank and Food Shelf – to help reduce hunger and food insecurity in Olmsted County. 

Rochester Branch of the NAACP – to help sponsor community events celebrating Black history and culture that enhance understanding and belonging among all residents of Olmsted County. 

Intercultural Mutual Assistance Association – to help sponsor their 2025 Pearl Gala.  

Community Dental Care – to provide preventive dental health care education to children and families in Southeast Minnesota.  

Boy Scouts of America Gamehaven Council – to support academic and leadership development among area youth.  

Rochester Public Schools – to help support strategic planning efforts to sustain excellent, accessible K-12 educational programs for Rochester’s children.  

Zumbro Valley Medical Society – to support and expand general and recuperative healthcare for residents experiencing homelessness.  

Girls Scouts of Minnesota and Wisconsin River Valleys Inc. - to help provide after-school enrichment and leadership development to local youth.  

Project Legacy – to help at-risk young adults' academic success and career readiness to break the cycle of poverty.  

Rochester Police Department – to help support downtown security resources that keep residents and visitors safe.  

Twin Cities Pride – to help sponsor their 2025 community celebration event.
