Mayo Clinic joins the One Healthcare Ecochallenge Making Every Day Earth Day

Mayo Clinic is participating in the One Healthcare Ecochallenge, a month-long challenge where healthcare organizations and their staffs come together to support each other in taking actions that promote individual, community, and environmental health. The One Healthcare Ecochallenge is April 21 – May 19. It’s a friendly competition where participants work together to be better environmental stewards.

Mayo Clinic’s Office of Sustainability teamed up with counterparts at Cleveland Clinic and PeaceHealth, with One Healthcare Ecochallenge, to create an initiative designed specifically for those working in healthcare.

About the One Healthcare Ecochallenge

The idea is simple; participants are encouraged to:

  • Choose challenges.

  • Set goals.

  • Take action for four weeks.

The One Healthcare Ecochallenge provides tools and inspiration to turn intention into action and gives participants an easy way to reduce impact on the planet while building a better shared future together.
The event supports Mayo Clinic’s value of Stewardship to “sustain and reinvest in our mission and extended communities by wisely managing our human, natural and material resources.

Ecochallenge.org’s social change platform with curriculum connects a global community of advocates and changemakers, each doing what they can, in ways that are most relevant, to make the earth a healthier, more equitable, more sustainable place.
